When you need one

Find the problem. Fix it right.

It keeps blocking

Repeat blockages usually mean something in the pipe: a dip, a crack, roots or a build-up. The camera shows which.

Buying a house

Drains are rarely covered properly by a standard survey. Know what you're buying before you exchange.

Smells or slow drains

Bad smells and slow draining are early warnings. Catch a damaged pipe before it collapses.

Trees nearby

Roots find their way into joints and grow. A survey shows root ingress early, while it's cheaper to deal with.

Questions

CCTV survey FAQs

Do I need a CCTV drain survey?

If a drain keeps blocking, smells, drains slowly, or you're buying a house, a survey shows exactly what's going on inside the pipe so you only pay to fix the real problem.

What does the £75 offer include?

A camera inspection of your domestic drain with clear findings and advice. The price applies to surveys booked by 18 December 2026 and is subject to access and drain layout. Our standard price is from £120.

How does the free survey work?

Book any drain unblock before 18 December 2026 and we'll survey the same drain run free, so you know it's properly clear and there's nothing else waiting to go wrong.

Who is responsible for my drains?

You're generally responsible for drains within your property boundary. Shared drains or those outside your boundary are usually the responsibility of the water company, which in the North West is normally United Utilities. A survey helps show where the problem sits.

Will my home insurance pay?

Some policies cover accidental damage to drains, though routine maintenance is usually excluded. Check your policy; our findings can help support a claim.
